Malaysia celebrates its highly spirited coffee scene and industry in the new decade with the opening of Café Malaysia 2020 this morning. The country’s longest-running international coffee showcase which officially opened this morning at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) was attended by industry leaders and key players from the coffee and tea industries.

The highly anticipated international coffee showcase also honours Malaysia’s exceptional accomplishments in recent international coffee championships as it continues to witness the increasing vigour of its local coffee culture. Renowned Malaysian barista Irvine Quek had clinched another world coffee championship title in latte art in South Korea in November 2019. The recent victory follows his championship success at the World Latte Art Championship in Brazil in 2018. In the same year, Malaysia’s very own Regine Wai and Keith Koay won the 2^nd Runner-Up and 10^th ranking in the World Brewers Cup Championship and the World Barista Championship respectively, stamping Malaysia’s position as one of the world’s giants in the international arena of coffee championships.

At home, the successive international achievements by Malaysia’s finest baristas and latte artists are complemented with the increasing local consumer demand for specialty coffee from around the world, including the rise of coffee-related professions among the younger generations of café owners, bean roasters, suppliers, distributors, importers, and baristas.

The sixth edition of the Café Malaysia series, an annual three-day event which proclaims Malaysia’s vibrant coffee scene, is the country’s largest gathering of industry players, café owners, professional baristas and latte artists. The event showcases the latest supplies and products, an array of coffee beans and tea leaves from around the globe, equipment, machinery, accessories and technology, all under one roof. The comprehensive one-stop platform will also be a focal point of business opportunities as industry players will network with another to explore opportunities in the fast-growing regional and international coffee businesses.

Café Malaysia 2020 is projected to attract 15,000 coffee and tea trade professionals, congress delegates, baristas, café owners, coffee and tea suppliers, equipment distributors, members of the Malaysia Café Owners Alliance from across East and West Malaysia, and members of the public. It is also expected to host coffee exhibitors from more than 20 countries on a gross exhibition area spanning across 6,000sqm. When the very first edition of Café Malaysia opened its doors in 2015, the show attracted participation from 73 exhibitors from 14 countries, and welcomed a recorded number of 13,280 local and international visitors.

For visitors who are keen to acquire knowledge on topics pertaining to managing a café and how to brew the best cuppa, the Café Malaysia 2020 Seminar on Friday, 10 January 2020 will feature café and coffee experts who will share insights on various topics such as ‘Maximizing and Capitalizing Your Milk for Customers’, ‘The Importance of Having a Good Sound System’, ‘Origami Coffee Dripper’, ‘Philosophy of Coffee Brewing and Brewing Method by Tetsu Kasuya, World Brewer Champion (2016)’, and ‘Green Coffee Buying: Guideline for Specialty & Micro-lot Selection and Purchasing.’

Over the next three days, visitors will witness a roller-coaster ride of excitement at the stage area where Malaysia’s top baristas and prolific latte artists will face off one another to win the top national titles at three national coffee championships - the 2020 Malaysia Barista Championship (MBC), the 2020 Malaysia Brewers Cup (MBrC), and the 2020 Malaysia Latte Art Championship (MLAC). The anointed champions from each competition will also win the honour to carry Malaysia’s flag at the international arena of coffee competitions.

According to the latest December 2019 top-line report on the coffee industry in Malaysia by Euromonitor International, an increasing number of consumers in Malaysia enjoy drinking their cup of coffee. This is true not just in local coffee shops, but there is also a growing trend towards consumption of artisanal and premium coffee products. With Malaysian consumers having a bigger appetite for specialty coffee, players in the coffee industry continue to expand their premium ranges to meet these demands. The highly competitive environment among players in the coffee industry is also expected to spur them to differentiate their product offerings. The coffee category remains robust, with a constant flow of new players seeking to capitalise on Malaysian consumers’ growing love for coffee.

The Cafe Malaysia series is organised by CEMS Conference & Exhibition (M) Sdn Bhd, and is hosted by the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association (MSCA) and the Café Owners Alliance Malaysia. MSCA is a member of the ASEAN Coffee Federation (ACF). The show is also endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

这项活动分成三个阶段进行。
第一个阶段于2019年12月30日至2020年1月26日为期四周的最高消费活动。
并在每周分别在这四间广场选出5位最高消费者。
最终共有80名最高消费者成功踊进第二阶段比赛。

最终Kuan Boo Jing 凭实力击败了其他入围者。他将把100克金条赠送于他的母亲。
同时，亚军及季军得主分别是49岁的Liew Ken Shun和32岁的Soon Yoke Hong。
他们各自把50克金条的金条带回家。

金条与奖品的价值大约是16,000令吉和15,000令吉。
来自Kelana Jaya的Liew在游戏节目中邀请他的大家庭成员出席。

马来西亚法国节又回来了，这是马来西亚备受期待和规模最大的年度法国盛事，其第19版法国节（LFF）又回来了！从3月19日至4月26日，LFF将带动大马人享受法国所有事物的欢乐之旅，包括法国电影放映，艺术展览，音乐和戏剧表演，美食等。

自2001年成立以来，LFF逐渐发展成为法国和马来西亚之间文化交流的主要纽带，同时成功地在四个主要城市建立了根基，并吸引了成千上万的观众：吉隆坡，槟城，新山和亚庇。

此版本将由马爹利作为法国法语节的长期合作者和合作伙伴自豪地介绍-为各行各业的人们（包括家庭和儿童，法国爱好者，影迷和美食家）举办了一个音乐节。
所有人不仅将享受与法国生活有关的各种计划和活动，而且组织者法国联盟（AF）和法国驻马来西亚大使馆也邀请了国际知名的摇滚明星Manu Chao。他将在自己的专辑《Sibériem’étaitcontée》中以声学形式演出，这是他在东南亚巡回演出中用法语和西班牙语进行的家庭友好演出。

This spring, Starbucks is collaborating with renowned fashion designer Vera Wang to release a new limited-edition designer collaboration, available exclusively at Starbucks® stores in Asia. The Starbucks® x Vera Wang designer collaboration celebrates being true to oneself, with stylish patterns that reflect a day in the life of Vera Wang. In classic shades of grey, this assortment of drinkware and lifestyle accessories invite customers to go behind the scenes with the designer and find those rare pops of color that help them stay true to themselves.

云尊集团(Winner Dynasty)集团创办人兼主席拿督斯里廖顺喜昨日在新闻发布会上宣布捐赠 1 百万个口罩给全马各地的公立学校与民众，并认为身为马来西亚公民，他有责任为国家作出贡献。

由于蒲种竞智华小亟需口罩，但校方却买不起价格太高的口罩，而且市面上的口罩又缺货，因此该校董事部副主席谢珊珊便接洽在云尊集团担任高阶管理层的名媛 Excella Chong 女士。

拿督斯里廖顺喜随即慷慨捐赠了总共 2000 个口罩给竞智华小，足以应付每个学生的需求。这肯定能减低学童被病毒感染的风险，而拿督斯里廖顺喜此刻最关注的就是这一点。

随着新冠病毒的疫情恶化，拿督斯里廖顺喜将继续捐赠口罩给全马各地有需要的学校及民众，并先从已出现确诊 Covid-19 病例的地区开始。

拿督斯里廖顺喜曾向某供应商订购 1 百万个口罩，每个的价格激涨至 RM1.70，唯当第一批货送达时，他却察觉该供应商虽然宣称有遵照合法的制作程序，却无法为有关口罩出示适当的文件证明。拿督斯里廖顺喜指出，当初他以每个 RM1.70 的高昂价格买下该批口罩，因为他对病毒的蔓延深感忧虑，尤其希望学童们能获得防范。

然而，拿督斯里廖顺喜认为，把价格调高到统制价的双倍，而且又没合法的文件证明是不正当的。因此，他呼吁拥有合法文件证明以及售价合理的供应商们联系云尊集团，以便它能实现捐赠 1 百万个口罩的目标。拿督斯里廖顺喜已就此事件向警方报案，以便讨回公道。他认为如果售价稍低，他早就可捐赠双倍数量的口罩。

拿督斯里廖顺喜说道：“身为一名马来西亚公民，我有责任回馈国家。我只是对国内同胞的安全与福利感到忧虑，并期望口罩供应商们高抬贵手，勿调涨口罩的价格，因为这是不公不义的。我就算想捐赠更多，遇到这情况也万分为难。在疫情严重时，商家还要趁火打劫是无良的，这就是我决定召开这场新闻发布会的原因。”

较早前在二月份，拿督斯里廖顺喜已透过其属下的马来西亚顺喜公益慈善基金会

(Pertubuhan Integriti Nicky Liow Malaysia)以及云尊世界基金会(Yayasan Winner Emperor Sedunia)捐赠 76,920 个口罩和医疗供应品给受 Covid-19 新冠肺炎感染的中国地区。

身为人道主义者的拿督斯里廖顺喜，过去十年内一直活跃于中国商界(尤其是兴义市和武

汉)，继帮助当地民众抗疫之后，如今又将援手伸向马来西亚。
